Core Features & Benefits
- Reliable Overcurrent Protection: Safeguards intricate vehicle electronics (ECUs, sensors, infotainment systems), lighting (headlights, interior lights), auxiliary components (USB ports, charging sockets), and critical systems (fuel pumps, relays) from damage caused by electrical overloads or short circuits.
- Comprehensive Amperage Availability: The extensive range of rated amperages (2A - 40A) ensures compatibility. Standardized Form Factor: The widely recognized 0257 (Medium Blade) dimensions ensure seamless plug-and-play replacement with existing fuse holders designed for this specific fuse type.
- Secure & Visible: Features a well-defined blade contact for secure fitment and employs standardized industry color-coding. This allows for swift identification and facilitates efficient troubleshooting processes.
- Durable Construction: The robust flame-retardant plastic housing provides insulation and protection for the precision-calibrated metallic fuse element.
Applications
- Fault protection for lighting circuits, including headlights (main/dip), fog lights, and interior lighting.
- Safety measure for infotainment systems, dash display panels, audio amplifiers, and navigation systems.
- Required protection for power windows, central locking systems, seat motors, and sunroof mechanisms.
- Essential for safeguarding ancillary engine control components, sensors, and auxiliary power sockets (cigarette lighter ports, USB adapters).
- Recommended for critical circuits such as ECU power supply, fuel pump relays, and ABS module components (where applicable per vehicle design).
Recommendations & Ordering
Accurate identification and selection of the correct amperage are paramount. Always replace with the same amperage rating as the original fuse specified for that circuit. Using an incorrect rating compromises safety and protection functionality. Litter 0257 Medium Car Fuses offer viable replacements for various branded counterparts (Bosch, Littelfuse, Grote, etc.) following the 0257 standard.
